Technical Office Assistant

Role Overview#

Assistant to the technical office director, and stand-in during the summer vacations. The technical office is the hinge between the commercial deparment and the production line. My tasks included designing cardboard boxes according to client specifications, building prototypes, designing and requesting auxiliar material (stencils, dies, etc.), and validating orders so they could be produced.

Additionally, I was tasked with developing several internal tools for the company, mainly to help with communication between departments and data access. Some of these included a interdepartmental communication system and a Telegram bot.

Key Achievements#

• Designed and implemented corrugated cardboard packaging solutions from concept through production, managing the full lifecycle including client specifications, prototyping, auxiliary material coordination, and production validation.
• Redesigned and standardized the company’s interdepartmental communication system, establishing traceable decision-making processes and eliminating informal communication channels that previously resulted in data loss and coordination issues.
• Engineered a Python-based Telegram bot to streamline ERP data access, replacing several cumbersome manual processes with single-command queries. Engineered tailored commands to improve the workflows of around 15 employees across all departments (including my own). The bot processes over 100 requests daily. This bot is the basis of Kamihi.
• Led comprehensive training initiatives for all employees on the new communication system and Telegram bot, ensuring successful adoption and effective utilization across all departments.
